A new Finnish escape

The songs the bards sang against the long dark.

Kalevala Royale Casino Hotel is a fictional destination built around the Kalevala, Finland's national epic—the ancient runes of the smith Ilmarinen, the singer Vainamoinen and the forge of the Sampo, sung by firelight through countless northern winters. Deep midnight blue, warm copper, birch gold and pale linen run through the whole casino hotel, worked in the old rune patterns.

Hear the kantele played low in the great hall at dusk. Trace the carved rune verses along the timber beams. Then step in from the cold into our adults-only casino salon, warm beneath a low starlit ceiling. Everything in this casino hotel carries an echo of the old songs, the way a Finnish winter carries the sound of a distant fire.

Aquavit is poured, a kantele plays low, and the hall opens onto the casino hotel salon a few steps away.
